Dr. Haider Al-Abadi visited Diyala governorate, accompanied by a delegation of MPs and Members of Al Nasr Coalition, today, Saturday, where he met the sheikhs of Bani Tamim tribe and a number of notables and officials in the province and listened to their requirements and the problems they suffer from.

Al-Abadi affirmed that the dear province of Diyala has suffered greatly in terms of security and economics, and it needs more efforts to take care of it and provide services to its people, pointing out that the plans that we put in place after the victory over the terrorist gangs of ISIS are to complete the requirements of victory by reconstructing the provinces and providing services to their people.

Dr. Al-Abadi added: "Our people have a great opportunity to correct the situation during the upcoming elections to choose their representatives and form a government that will work to reform the situation and put it on the right path".

He continued: "Fair and just elections without fraud, without the use of weapons and intimidation of citizens, under international supervision and with a national government capable of reform, represents a solution to the country's problems and an important way out of the crises we are going through".

Dr. Al-Abadi praised the role of the noble clans in the war against ISIS and their preservation of the country's unity, urging everyone to participate in the upcoming elections and update their biometric cards to prevent fraud, warning against postponing early elections again, stressing that the young people who demonstrated were aiming for change and reform and we supported them along with the Religious Authority which was supportive to these true demands, as the procrastination of these demands is unacceptable and will lead to disastrous results.

Dr. Al-Abadi pointed out the importance of avoiding Iraq the repercussions of what is happening in the region in terms of conflicts, and moving away from the policy of axes, and for Iraq to have a balanced foreign policy that would restore it to its status and the great role it had after the victory over ISIS.
