The head of Al Nasr Coalition, Dr. Haider al-Abadi, received in his office, yesterday, Saturday, the British ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Stephen Hickey.

During the meeting, they discussed strengthening cooperation between the two countries, the political, security and economic situations, challenges the country is going through, and Britain's contribution to the reconstruction of Iraq.

Dr. Al-Abadi affirmed that Iraq faced an existential challenge with occupying large areas of its lands by the terrorist gangs of ISIS, but it has triumphed over terrorism, and it is very important that this achievement should be preserved, as well as the many reforms that took place then in all sectors, indicating that the country is currently facing many difficulties which require more efforts and support to overcome.

In turn, the British Ambassador Hickey congratulated Dr. Al-Abadi on the anniversary of the victory over terrorism, stressing that the whole world was watching the great victories achieved by Iraqis in your era, praising Al-Abadi's leadership for a difficult stage in the history of Iraq.
